8 Ways Prevent Hair Loss Naturally At Home

An estimated 95 percent of hair loss is genetic, but other factors, such as nutrition, overall health,
hormone deficiencies, stress. If you dread trips to the barbershop and cringe every time you pass a mirror, there's a pretty good chance you're concerned about hair loss. Here are seven tips to prevent hair loss, some old and some new, that may help you keep your hair even if you are already experiencing hair loss.
1. Never color your hair more often than 6 to 8 weeks and for hair loss prevention, letting your hair turn naturally gray is the best thing you can do.
2. Practice good scalp hygiene. This means washing your hair regularly, and making sure that you rinse it well. Also ensure that products you may apply to your hair are in between shampoos - such as mousse, or cream - are thoroughly removed when you wash your hair.
3. Eat a balanced diet. Nutritional deficiencies, eating disorders and excessive amounts of certain vitamins, such as A and E, can cause hair loss.
4. It may be tempting to eat fast food, but greasy foods are among the worst culprits for hair loss. If you have a craving for a burger and fries, your best bet is to cook the burger yourself and dice, season and bake some potato wedges (leaving the skins on) to go along with it. Try to limit your intake of excessively cold, spicy and sugary foods as well. These can tax your body, and when your body's fighting something unhealthy, it's not functioning at its peak level.
5. If you have a stressful job, learn how to relax and make sure you carve out some time for yourself to get your stress levels down. Stress causes your body to release hormones which can contribute to hair loss.
6. Never stretch the hair by braiding very tightly and this can lead to significant hair loss as well. Take care of your hair. This is the most important thing. The overuse of hair dyes, curling irons and hairdryers is one of the leading causes of hair loss in both men and women. This is one of the best hair loss treatment.
7. Rub an onion slice on the affected area of your scalp. Stay at it until some redness occurs. Next rub in some honey. Adherents to this method say it will help boost circulation in your scalp and may facilitate hair growth.
8. Take vitamins daily. Be sure to get enough of the vitamins B, C, and E. They are essential for maintaining healthy hair. Other nutrients that serve as hair loss cures include copper, magnesium, calcium, and zinc. Eat foods that are high in protein.
